Our story: A friend said, “When you are ready to open a bakery just let me know…”
I have a serious sweet tooth, so…I had to figure out a way to be around sugar a lot. Culinary school seemed like a good way to do it! I did the research…who knew that Johnson & Wales offered a Bachelor of Science degree in Baking and Pastry Arts??? I signed up and obtained the aforementioned degree (summa cum laude, baby!).
I loved everything I learned, but loved, loved, loved cake decorating. So I went for it…I got myself a job at a cake shop and worked from the bottom up until I was designing and decorating cakes.
After four years, the day came when I felt I was ready to give it a go on my own…with a few key people of course (thanks…you know who you are). And here we are…and here we go…We opened the doors in 2007 and never looked back. It’s the best thing I ever did…Welcome to YumBunnies (in my world, words reserved for the best you’ve ever tasted)!
